CE Requirements: Annual Core Course

*Three annual core courses are needed to renew a license. Licensees must take absolutely every annual core course, there can be no gaps.

**All qualifying brokers and all property managers have an additional CE requirement. They must attend one NMREC meeting, rules hearing or disciplinary hearing for at least three hours, or until the meeting or hearing ends or goes into executive session, whichever comes first, once in their 3 year licensing cycle. The number of CE credits received for attending is based on the length of the meeting and amount attended. For instance, a meeting that lasts only one hour meets the requirement to attend but only offers 1 CE credit. A meeting meeting that last for two hours meets the requirement to attend but only offers 2 CE Credits. Continuing education hours granted for each meeting/hearing will be determined by the NMREC.

View upcoming NMREC meetings here.

All licensees can use a maximum of 4 CE hours from these meetings toward their license renewal, whether they are required to attend a meeting/hearing or not. MESA Real Estate Institute LLC, offers replays of NMREC meetings on a monthly basis. See our complete schedule of courses.

Additional Information for Licensees

In addition to the requirements above, new licensees must complete the New Broker Business Practices in their first year of licensure.

Associate Brokers can learn more about their requirements here: Associate Broker CE Requirements.

As of 01/03/2021, training category and education categories have been eliminated and those courses are being rebranded as either core elective or elective courses. If you have certificates earned during your current cycle from the education or training category, you will be able to use them when you renew your license.
