Instructor Jim DesJardins was born and raised in Chicago, IL, and earned a B.S. in Business from the University of Illinois at Chicago. After college, he worked in computer and telecommunication sales and in real estate sales. In 2005, Jim and his wife worked overseas in Bangladesh and Cape Verde where he developed a concern for the environment and an interest in renewable energy.
Upon returning to the U.S., Jim and his wife decided they wanted to live in a more moderate climate and moved to the Land of Enchantment. Since 2010, Jim has worked in the solar industry as a Sales Consultant, Project Manager and Operations Manager. He has a Technical Sales certification from the North American Board of Energy Practitioners (NABCEP), serves as a Board member and Secretary for the Renewable Energy Industries Assn (REIA), makes frequent presentations to the New Mexico Solar Energy Association (NMSEA) and served for five years on the Albuquerque Energy Council.
Mesa Real Estate Institute is pleased to have Mr DesJardins join the faculty, and looks forward to presenting frequent classroom opportunities to the New Mexico real estate community.
