Residential Property Management- Case Studies -3CE

This class will review case studies based on the Uniform Owner Resident Relations act (UORRA) – including evictions, court cases and other cases that interpret the act. Rules from the New Mexico Real Estate commission (NMREC) related to property management will be demonstrated via case studies as well as complaints and or hearings. Any other industry available residential property management case studies will be also reviewed.

Learning Objectives

1. Attendees will review real and created cases regarding the UORRA, NMREC rules, and other industry publications related to residential property management.

2. The root cause or a situation or wrong doing that happened as well as what should have happened will be reviewed. Attendees will learn what should have happened so as to be within the law / rules.

3. This will be a good way for attendees to learn local / industry cases and be able to learn the law and rules from practical application.

All qualifying brokers are required to successfully complete a six (6) hour qualifying broker refresher course as a condition of license renewal or as a condition of reinstatement of qualifying broker status regardless of age or years of licensure.  This does count towards 42 hours of CE requirements.  The Qualifying Broker Refresher Course gives QBs an excellent opportunity to receive up to date information.
